For instance, "Pre and Early Walking (and More!)" caters to toddlers between 12 to 18 months, "Confident Walking (and More!)" is designed for those between 18 to 24 months, and "Toddler Time (and More!)" for the 24 to 36-month age range. Our commitment lies in ensuring toddlers master essential motor skills within each designated stage before progressing, all while empowering adults with information and tools for family learning at each respective stage. Additionally, our assessments encompass social development, ensuring a holistic approach to recommending transitions to higher-level classes.

In our "Treblemaking Toddlers" Music Classes, designed for toddlers aged 12 to 36 months, we offer a unique and progressive musical journey that aligns with the developmental stages of their early years. From gentle melodies introducing soothing auditory experiences to dynamic rhythms fostering motor skill refinement and coordination, these classes are an engaging and interactive musical exploration. The experience fosters social engagement, with toddlers showcasing rhythmic responsiveness and a growing love for music.

For sensory exploration, our "Toddler Doodles Sensory Art" classes provide a progressive journey for toddlers aged 12 to 36 months. Starting with tactile experiences fostering curiosity and fine motor skills, the classes progress to involve a variety of textures, colors, and shapes from 18 to 24 months. By 24 to 36 months, the focus shifts to interactive and self-directed exploration, promoting creativity, hand-eye coordination, and a sense of autonomy. We do not offer regular trial sessions. However, we do hold family demo classes at various popular events in the community. It's an opportunity to witness firsthand the enriching value our program brings to your toddler's development and your family, allowing you to explore and appreciate the unique benefits of our classes.

Each class typically lasts 45 minutes. You are absolutely allowed and encouraged to ask questions during the 15 minute transition period in between classes.

While you can book a one-off class, we recommend consistent attendance to reap the full benefits. This frequency is thoughtfully chosen to provide consistency, allowing for a gradual and meaningful progression through the developmental stages while accommodating the busy schedules of parents.

If you are attending classes at the JCC, there is a dedicated parking lot with MANY parking spots. We promise you will never be circling the parking lot or left to try to find street parking.

No, Happy Day Play is not a drop-off program for children. We do not offer independent programs without the supervision of a parent or caretaker.

We are partnered with the JCC of Staten island at the JCC Bernikow 1466 Manor Rd, Staten Island, NY 10314 and select family classes at JCC Avis South Shore, 1297 Arthur Kill Rd, Staten Island, NY 10308.
